About Us
School Grant Consulting was built on a simple idea: schools and nonprofits deserve a partner who truly understands both sides of the process.
With over 15 years of experience in auditing, grant compliance, and program administration — including more than a decade focused on child nutrition programs and security grant funding, having helped secure millions of dollars in awards, and deep expertise managing and streamlining New York State’s Mandated Services Aid program — our team knows what it takes to get compliance right. We’ve taken that experience, from both inside schools and from the outside auditor’s chair, and built a consulting practice that works hands-on with school administrators, program directors, and nonprofit operators — helping you maximize funding, stay compliant, and operate with confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions
What types of organizations do you work with?
We work with private schools, yeshivas, nonprofit organizations, childcare centers, and after-school programs — primarily in New York State. If your organization receives or is applying for government program funding, we can help.
Does my school qualify for child nutrition programs like NSLP or CACFP?
Eligibility depends on your organization type, the population you serve, and your existing program status. We assess your situation during an initial consultation and advise on which programs you qualify for and how to apply.
What happens if my program fails a compliance audit?
Non-compliance can result in funding suspension, repayment obligations, and corrective action requirements that are costly and time-consuming to resolve. Our work is designed to prevent that from happening — and if you’ve already received a finding, we can help you respond and remediate effectively.
How quickly can you get our program up and running?
Timelines vary depending on the program and your organization’s current state of readiness. We work as efficiently as possible while ensuring every step is done correctly. We’ll give you a clear timeline during our initial consultation.
Do you only work with organizations in New York State?
Our primary focus is New York State, where we have deep experience with NYS-specific programs including Mandated Services Aid, NSGP, and SCHAC. Contact us to discuss whether we can support your organization.
What makes School Grant Consulting different from other compliance consultants?
Our founders have worked both inside nonprofit organizations and as outside auditors — giving us a perspective most consultants don’t have. We don’t just advise. We work hands-on with your team through every step of planning, implementation, training, and ongoing maintenance. We’re proud to do it right the first time.
